Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ Launched in India- Price, Range, Features and Battery Details

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new BE 6 SPORTEQ electric SUV in India, bringing a fresh combination of sporty design, advanced technology, connected features and improved practicality to the company's premium electric SUV lineup.

The new BE 6 SPORTEQ comes with multiple battery options, a new triple-screen cockpit, Google Gemini-powered voice assistance, advanced connected features and a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership option.

The standard ex-showroom price starts at 19.45 lakh, while customers choosing the BaaS model can get the SUV at an introductory starting price of 11.45 lakh, with battery usage charged separately at 3.75 per kilometre. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on August 26, 2026. 

Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ Price- Starts at 11.45 Lakh with BaaS

Mahindra has introduced the BE 6 SPORTEQ with two different ownership models.

Under the conventional purchase option, the SUV starts at 19.45 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to around 26.95 lakh, depending on the variant and battery configuration.

The company has also introduced the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Under this plan, the entry-level 59kWh version is available at a lower upfront price of 11.45 lakh, while customers pay a battery subscription charge of 3.75 per kilometre.

This approach is designed to reduce the initial purchase cost of the electric SUV and make premium EV ownership more accessible.

Deliveries to Begin From August 26

Mahindra has confirmed that deliveries of the new BE 6 SPORTEQ will begin from August 26, 2026.

The launch also includes special versions such as the BE 6 SPORTEQ Launch Edition and the Formula E Freedom Edition, adding more choices for buyers looking for a distinctive version of the electric SUV. ([The 

Sporty Exterior Design

The BE 6 SPORTEQ gets an aggressive and futuristic exterior design that continues the distinctive styling of the BE 6.

The SUV features large alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles and an all-LED lighting setup. The rear section gets SPORTEQ badging, while the Launch Edition is available with a special Graphite Storm exterior finish.

One of the most interesting design features is the customisable rear LED display. Owners can display personalised messages on the tailgate, giving the SUV a unique personal touch.

New Interior With Triple 12.3-Inch Screens

The biggest changes can be seen inside the cabin.

The higher variants of the BE 6 SPORTEQ feature a futuristic triple-screen cockpit, with three 12.3-inch displays arranged across the dashboard.

Mahindra has introduced six new TEQ technology suites. One of them, TEQ_Me, can identify the driver and automatically load the driver's personalised profile.

Another major addition is TEQ_Talk, a conversational voice assistant that integrates Google Gemini AI into the vehicle.

This allows the BE 6 SPORTEQ to offer a more advanced and natural voice interaction experience.

Premium Entertainment and Connected Features

The BE 6 SPORTEQ is loaded with modern technology and convenience features.

The SUV gets a premium Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, along with ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display and an NFC-based digital key.

The new BE 6 SPORTEQ is offered with three battery pack options.

59kWh Battery

The entry-level battery pack produces around 231 hp and offers a claimed range of approximately 548 km, depending on the testing and certification cycle.

70kWh Battery

The new 70kWh battery option produces around 245 hp and offers a claimed range of up to 651 km.

79kWh Battery

The largest battery pack is the 79kWh unit. It produces around **286 hp** and offers a claimed range of up to 683 km.

All three configurations use a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout.

The range figures are laboratory-certified figures and actual driving range can vary depending on driving style, speed, traffic, temperature, road conditions and use of air conditioning.

Fast Charging

The BE 6 SPORTEQ supports DC fast charging.

Depending on the battery configuration, the SUV supports high charging rates of up to around 140kW to 180kW.

Mahindra claims that the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes using a compatible high-power DC fast charger.

The SUV also offers performance-focused driving modes, including features such as Drift Mode and Acceleration Boost, adding a more enthusiast-oriented character to the electric SUV.

Safety Features: Level 2 ADAS and Advanced Camera Technology
